摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an alignment layer which is divided and aligned in a member, without using a mask. SOLUTION: The member in which the alignment layer is formed is divided into a plurality of regions. The divided plurality of regions are classified into a first alignment region which is aligned in a first direction, and a second alignment region which is aligned in a second region. A liquid material containing an alignment layer material which produces anisotropy by irradiation of linear polarization light is applied on the first alignment region and dried, to form a first film. The first film is irradiated with the linear polarization light in a first irradiation direction, to produce anisotropy on the alignment film material, and a first alignment film which is aligned to the first direction is formed. Then, a second film is formed by applying the liquid material containing the alignment film material on the second alignment region and drying, to form a second film. The second film is irradiated with the linear polarization light in a second irradiation direction, to produce anisotropy on the alignment film material, and a second alignment film which is aligned to the second direction different from the first direction is formed.
