PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air shower device spraying sanitary water to a necessary portion of an object to be disinfected/deodorized by sufficiently atomizing and diffusing the sanitary water when carrying out disinfection, deodorization by atomizing the sanitary water and blowing it toward the object to be disinfected/deodorized, a disinfection/deodorization method having a favorable treatment effect and sense of feeling during treatment, and to provide a disinfection/deodorization method also carrying out drying of the sanitary water attached to clothes after spraying the sanitary water on the object to be disinfected/deodorized. SOLUTION: In the air shower device A, a sanitary water nozzle 8 spraying out the sanitary water is provided in an interior of an air jet nozzle 7 such that a nozzle end face of the air jet nozzle 7 blowing out air and an injection hole end face of the sanitary water nozzle 8 are in a predetermined positional relationship. In the disinfection/deodorization method, the object to be disinfected/deodorized separated a predetermined distance away from the air jet nozzle 7 is treated by using the air shower device A. The disinfection/deodorization method includes a process of blowing an air jet including the atomized sanitary water onto the object to be disinfected/deodorized, and a process of blowing an air jet not including the atomized sanitary water.
