PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external preparation for the skin, a bleaching agent, an antioxidant, a collagenase inhibitor and a hyaluronidase inhibitor, containing an extract of Arcterica nana. SOLUTION: The extract of Arcterica nana has excellent melanin formation-inhibiting activities, active oxygen-scavenging activities, collagenase-inhibiting activities and hyaluronidase-inhibiting activities, and also has excellent stability.
