The present invention relates to a connecting board for connecting a plurality of flat cells of an energy storage unit. The connecting board comprises a planar support segment and a functional segment comprising two current conducting sections not in electrical contact with one another for tapping electrical power from the energy storage unit. The connecting board further comprises connection devices for connecting the flat cells to the connecting board, and contact elements for electrically contacting the flat cells.
