Disclosed is a fuel cell for an implant, which has a reduced size because the fuel cell is intended to be embedded in a living body, and which enables the long-term operation of the implant. Specifically disclosed is a fuel cell (201) comprising: a container (211) in which a fuel such as glucose and an electrolytic solution are contained; a pair of electrodes which are placed in the container (211) and each of which has a noble metal catalyst immobilized thereon; a ventilation unit (27) which is formed on at least a part of the external surface of the container (211) and has air permeability and water-proof performance; and septa (218, 219) through which the fuel is introduced into the container (211) from the outside or discharged from the container (211) into the outside.
