In the present invention, the pressure-applying part (4) of a sphygmomanometer comprises a first drive mode and a second drive mode for applying pressure to a cuff (1), and a computation unit (8) is constituted so as to classify and identify, into a plurality of groups, flow or position direction signals of the sphygmomanometer as sensed by a sensor unit (5) provided on the body of the sphygmomanometer and to selectively drive the first drive mode and second drive mode depending on the signal band as classified into the plurality of groups, while the computation unit is constituted so as to be able to generate blood-pressure informational data by a linked computation of the time at which the blood pressure was measured by a blood pressure measurement unit (6) and the sensing signal band of the sensor as received corresponding to the time at which the blood pressure was measured, thereby allowing accurate judgment of the extent of changes in blood pressure in accordance with the intensity of movement or posture of the measurement subject. |
