The scale (1) has a foot board (11) for accommodating a person. A signal device outputs a signal e.g. acoustic signal or optical signal, that is received by the person balanced on the foot board. The signal comprises information relating to the posture of the person during the weighing process and/or the proper motion of the person during the weighing process and/or the position of center of gravity of the person related to the foot board during the weighing process. A signal indicating device (12) is arranged below a display device (10) that displays a weight value of the scale. An independent claim is also included for a method for reproducibly generating the weight values of a scale.
