<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical coupling member in which the formation of an optical waveguide part is simplified, and to provide a method of manufacturing the optical coupling member. <P>SOLUTION: The upper face of a base member body 16 is formed as a core groove-forming face 19. A core groove 20, a pair of confinement walls 21, a core resin-dropping part 22 and a connecting groove 23 are formed on the core groove-forming face 19. The core resin-dropping part 22 and the connecting groove 23 are arranged and formed at the positions of the front side groove end part 24 of the core groove 20. The core resin-dropping part 22 is formed as a filling starting part of a core resin. The core resin-dropping part 22 is arranged and formed in the vicinity of the core groove 20. The connecting groove 23 is formed as a groove for connecting the core resin-dropping part 22 and the core groove 20 so as to allow the core resin to flow toward the core groove 20 side when the core resin flows from the core resin-dropping part 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
