<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection structure of a circuit board that can reduce a possibility of breaking of a wire of a flexible printed board connected to a rigid printed board, and to provide a module for optical communication. <P>SOLUTION: The connection structure 100 is used for the circuit board constituted by connecting the flexible printed board 21 to a control board 17, wherein a rear end of the flexible printed board 21 is superposed on a joint surface 17z of a front end of the control board 17 along a thickness direction and joined by soldering, and a strain relief 30 for clamping the control board 17 and flexible printed board 21 one over the other along a thickness direction is fitted to the front end of the control board 17 nearby a solder joint part 19a.
