PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for efficiently charging a plurality of electric vehicles. SOLUTION: When an electric vehicle 6 parks at a parking space 3, a charging plug of the electric vehicle 6 is connected to a receptacle 31. A controller 5 performs communication with the electric vehicle 6 via a changeover switch 4, thereby obtaining a vehicle ID, battery residual capacity and operation information and the like. Then, the controller 5 predicts customer's staying time on the basis of customer's visit records recognized from the vehicle ID and stored therein by using a technique such as a neutral network. The controller 5 sets a charging speed of a charger 2 for each electric vehicle 6, and stores the set charging speed. As for an electric vehicle 6 in waiting state of charging, the controller 5 calculates a charging time on the basis of the battery residual capacity and the charging speed of the charger 2, and creates a charging schedule so that the charging time comes within the staying time. If the charging time does not come within the staying time, the controller 5 calculates a charging amount required for return on the basis of the operation information, and re-calculates a charging time depending on the charging amount.
