PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable engine working machine including a lifting attachment of a simple structure facilitating adjustment of a lifting position. SOLUTION: The lifting attachment 15 of the portable engine working machine (power unit 11) includes a recess 16 provided at an upper part of a cover body 13, a connecting shaft 17 disposed at an opening side of the recess 16 with an axial line oriented to a gravity center movement direction of the power unit 11, and a connecting fitting 18 capable of moving in the axial direction of the connecting shaft 17 and rotating around the connecting shaft 17. The connecting fitting 18 includes a connecting shaft insertion through-hole 18a through which the connecting shaft 17 is inserted, an installation hole 18b of a shackle 20, and an engagement projection part 18c projecting in a radial direction from the connecting shaft insertion through-hole 18a.
