PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical component module in which the number of assembly processes of fitting a fiber cover is remarkably reduced. SOLUTION: The optical component module includes: a housing which is formed of a box-shaped body in which side walls rise from a bottom face and at least an open part is formed on the side wall; an optical component disposed in the housing; an optical fiber which inputs and outputs light to and from the optical component via the open part; and the fiber cover disposed to cover the optical fiber for protecting the optical fiber. On the outer wall face side of the open part of the housing, a bulge having a predetermined height is formed in the waveguide direction of light surrounding the open part, the bulge has a recessed part having a small thickness or a projected part having a large thickness in the direction perpendicularly intersecting with the waveguide direction of light at least at a part of the outer periphery along the waveguide direction of light, and the fiber cover is fixed by engaging the engagement part formed in the fiber cover with the recessed part or the projected part.
