摘要 The present invention relates to a moving picture camera, and more specifically to a moving picture camera having a light emitting diode for adjusting the brightness of an incoming image to the moving picture camera. The moving picture camera comprises: an image pickup unit for obtaining an image pickup result; a brightness detection unit for detecting the brightness value of an image; and a control unit, which determines a time point when the light emitting diode enters a control mode by adopting, as an input value, a constant value with respect to at least one of automatic exposure control values that consist of an iris control value for adjusting an incident light intensity to the image pickup unit, an electronic shutter control value for controlling the exposure time of the image pickup unit, a gain amplification control value for amplifying an electric signal for the light intensity outputted from the image pickup unit and a combination thereof, and which determines a duty ratio based on the brightness value detected by the brightness detection unit in a control mode of the light emitting diode, thereby controlling the duty cycle of the light emitting diode. As such, the present invention advantageously prevents saturation from a bright part of the image as the lighting unit is turned on (e.g., entering the control mode), and maintains a maximum exposure time of the iris and electronic shutter even when the lighting unit is turned on, thereby acquiring a high-quality image for a dark part of the image.
