A wireless communication apparatus at a transmitting end adds the channel information of a communication target to communication data and then transmits the communication data to a destination node. A wireless communication apparatus at a receiving end receives communication data addressed to the local node and transmitted by use of one of a plurality of channels, then acquires channel information included in the received communication data, and then determines whether the acquired channel information is the channel information of a communication target. If having determined that the acquired channel information is the channel information of the communication target, the wireless communication apparatus at the receiving end subjects the received communication data to a reception process. If having determined that the acquired channel information is not the channel information of the communication target, the wireless communication apparatus at the receiving end discards the received communication data.
