PURPOSE: A light emission device of a display device is provided to improve the brightness uniformity by controlling the luminance of the outermost area. CONSTITUTION: A gate electrode(28) is formed along the crossing direction with cathode electrodes. Electron emission units(30) are formed on the crossing domain of cathode electrode(24) and gate electrode. The outermost cathode electrode is divided into more than two electrodes including inner cathode electrodes and external cathode electrodes. A fluorescent layer(32) emits visible light by electrons emitted from the electron emission unit.
