PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium that enhances recording speed.

SOLUTION: A recording layer 101 of the optical information recording medium 100 includes: an acid generator which generates an acid according to recording light to be condensed on information recording; and an acid-modified compound whose optical absorbance against the recording light is increased by modification with the acid. The optical information recording medium 100 absorbs the recording light beam L2c condensed upon recording of information according to the wavelength, and increases the temperature in the vicinity of a focal point Fb to form a recording mark RM.
