<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress degradation of slidability of a suction amount adjusting valve by forming an oil film in a valve body slide portion. <P>SOLUTION: A control device outputs a drive signal to the suction amount adjusting valve 21 for adjusting an amount of fuel sucked to a fuel supply pump 20 and controls an opening of the suction amount adjusting valve 21 based on a duty ratio of the drive signal. The device determines whether the slidability of a valve body 213 of the suction amount adjusting valve 21 is degraded. When the device determines that the slidability of the valve body 213 is not degraded, it sets a drive frequency of the drive signal to a first frequency. On the other hand, when the device determines that the slidability of the valve body 213 is degraded, it sets the drive frequency to a second frequency that is lower than the first frequency. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
