OPEN ROOF STRUCTURE FOR VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an advanced open roof structure.

SOLUTION: An open roof structure having a loof opening 2 at a fixed roof includes a guide rail 5 at either side of the roof opening and a slide 6 with an operating mechanism. A panel 4 supported by the operating mechanism is adjustable between a closed position and an opened position. The operating mechanism includes a curve plate 11 attached to the panel and has a guide member 9 connected to the slide along a panel path and a guide track 10 in engagement. The slide 6 includes a height-adjustable part 7 which is equipped with the guide member 9, and is also equipped with a second guide member engaged with a guide track 16 having a vertical component. The guide track 16 is provided at a curved part 13 which is connected to the guide rail 5. The guide track 10, 16 are positioned relatively so that they have a common vertical longitudinal plane extending therethrough. The guide tracks 10, 16 are selectively movable with respect to each other in a direction parallel to the guide rails 5.
