PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liftable article carrying device capable of determining whether or not a screw properly rotates in a pair of lifting drive means while simplifying a constitution and reducing costs by lifting a lifting base while supporting the lifting base from both sides by the pair of lifting drive means. SOLUTION: The pair of respective lifting drive means 12 arranged in a state of sandwiching the lifting base 8 include a rotational drive part for rotatively drive the screw 16, a nut lifted by the rotational drive of the screw 16, and a connecting support 19 for supporting the lifting base 8 so as to be liftable by lifting the nut, and include a rotation sensor 45 for detecting whether or not the screw 16 rotates at least at one side of the pair of lifting drive means 12, and include a screw rotation abnormal state discriminating means for discriminating whether or not the screw is in a screw rotation abnormal state that the screw 16 is not properly rotated based on the detection information of the rotation sensor 45 when rotating the screw 16 by the rotational drive part.
