PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foamed sheet in which an aperture area is comparatively large and which is formed by uniformly arranging uniform foamed cells having no variation in size and shape and further to provide a metal porous body sheet which is made by using the foamed sheet, has no variation in size, shape and arrangement of the hole and is particularly useful as an electrode material for a high performance battery. SOLUTION: A foaming raw solution is foamed and molded in a bottomed cylindrical molding mold 1 and obtained columnar foamed block 3 is sliced in a side circumferential direction to form a sheet-like material 4.
