The present invention relates to a cap assembly for preventing gasket sag and to a cylindrical secondary battery having the same. A cap assembly of the present invention is one that includes a main gasket encircling the outer periphery of a safety vent, and an auxiliary gasket encircling the outer periphery of a CID, wherein the main gasket is supported by the auxiliary gasket so as not to form a gap with the safety vent. A cylindrical secondary battery of the present invention includes the cap assembly of the present invention. The cap assembly of the present invention employs the auxiliary gasket that encircles the outer periphery of the CID to prevent sagging of the main gasket seated on a beading portion, thereby improving resistance against electrolyte leakage.
