<p>PURPOSE: A method and system for positioning a roaming user terminal in a communication network without BSA information from a roaming network are provided to supply a location based service to a roaming subscriber terminal under an environment in which the base station information of a roaming network is not provided. CONSTITUTION: An H-SPC(Home SUPL Positioning Center)(604) of a home network receives a measurement request for a target SET. The H-SPC requests the initial position value of the target SET from a V-SLP(605) of a roaming network. The V-SLP receives the request for the initial position value of the target SET from an H-SLP, and requests the proximity position value of the target SET from a GMLC of the roaming network. The GMLC obtains the latitude/longitude value of a base station which communicates with the target SET. The GMLC provides the V-SLP with the proximity positioning value of the target SET.</p> |
