PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method which can manufacture a transfer pad for a pad printing machine in which the pad body of flexible rubber is cemented to a lower surface of a base plate without an extra work for removing an excessive rubber with sufficient accuracy. SOLUTION: After filling up rubber material X more than the volume of the molding part into the molding part 11 of the mold 10, a base plate 2 having the through-hole 2a loaded with a pipe member 20 is fitted in a plate fixation section 13 of the mold 10, and the base plate 2 is pushed in by applying the load W while releasing the extra rubber material X into the pipe member 20. Thus, the lower surface periphery of the base plate 2 is stuck fast onto the plate receptacle surface 12 of the mold 10, preventing the spillage of excessive rubber material from the perimeter of the base plate 2.
