PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with various weldings such as inner and outer surface welding of a pipe and seam welding by one welding robot. SOLUTION: A portable welding robot is used which includes guide rails 10, 10', 10" arranged along a welding line, a traveling carriage 12 movable on the guide rail and detachably attached to the guide rail, a welding head 20 mounted on the traveling carriage 12, and a plurality of mutually connectable transport carriages 80 mounted with the welding head 20, a wire supply device 40 for supplying a welding wire to the welding head 20, a welding power source 50 for supplying a power source to the welding head 20, and a control device 60 for controlling welding with the welding head 20 by dispersing at least a part of them or collecting them.
