摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a boundary of continuous pixels from being conspicuous also when the continuous pixels are different from each other in color development density. SOLUTION: In the thermal printer which energizes a heating element for an energization total time that is set according to a color development density to be longer as the color development density of a pixel as a recording object is higher in a total time taken for recording of one pixel, the total time is divided to a plurality of energization time units of any length, the energization time unit of a predetermined or longer time among the plurality of divided energization time units is further divided to two, and the energization time unit for performing energization is predetermined so that the sum of the energization time units for performing energization among the divided energization time units agrees with the energization total time. The predetermined energization time unit for performing energization and the energization time unit refrained from energization are made to appear nearly symmetrically between the first half and the second half bounded by a middle point of the total time.
