PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antifreezing system and method for a cooling tower. SOLUTION: The antifreezing system includes a cooling water circuit having a cooling water pump 7, a heat exchanger 2 arranged within the cooling tower 1, a water supply tank 8 for cooling water and a load part 6 and enabling the circulation of the cooling water, and the water supply tank 8 includes a heater 11 controlling the temperature of the cooling water. The antifreezing method controls the temperature of the cooling water by heating the cooling water within the water supply tank 8 in the cooling circuit having the cooling water pump 7, the heat exchanger 2 arranged within the cooling tower 1, the water supply tank 8 for the cooling water and the load part 6 and enabling the circulation of the cooling water, and circulates the heated cooling water in the cooling water circuit.
