<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection type video display device capable of improving convenience when explaining a projected image. <P>SOLUTION: In the scene of performing presentation by irradiating and indicating a pointer 80 to the projected image 100, when a user moves the indicating position of the pointer 80 clockwise (line T1) so as to surround a part of the projected image 100 on a screen SC, a luminous point P by the pointer 80 is moved clockwise to draw a circular track (line PT1) on the projected image 100 on the screen SC. A projector 10 detects the position information of the luminous point P on the projected image 100, and determines the indication information on highlighting and a target area to be highlighted on the basis of the detected position information. Then, the projector 10 generates an enhanced image R1 for which the target area inside the projected image 100 is enhanced (enlarged) according to the determined indication information, and combines the generated emphatic image R1 with the projected image 100 to be projected and displayed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
