<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a culture substratum that maintains and cultures human pluripotent stem cells in a feeder-free culture environment while retaining pluripotency of the stem cells and a method for culturing human pluripotent stem cells using the culture substrate. <P>SOLUTION: The culture substratum for human pluripotent stem cells is coated with an E8 fragment of human lamininα5β1γ1 or an E8 fragment of human lamininα3β3γ2 preferably at a concentration of 0.5 to 25μg/cm<SP>2</SP>. The method for culturing human pluripotent stem cells includes using the culture substratum. The human pluripotent stem cells are rapidly enlarged while retaining pluripotency of the stem cells by seeding human pluripotent stem cells dispersed in a single cell in a density of 4×10<SP>4</SP>to 10×10<SP>4</SP>cell/cm<SP>2</SP>to the culture substratum. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
