<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner improved in air conditioning efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: An image pick-up device includes a human body detecting means for detecting presence or absence of a human, and an obstacle detecting means for detecting existence or non-existence of an obstacle. A wind direction changing means is controlled on the basis of a detection signal of the human body detecting means and a detection signal of the obstacle detecting means. Concretely, at least two obstacle position discrimination areas belong to each of a plurality of human position discrimination areas, and in a case when it is determined that the obstacle exists in the obstacle position discrimination area belonging to the human position discrimination area where the presence of human is determined, or the obstacle position discrimination area positioned in front of the human position discrimination area where the presence of human is determined, a horizontal blade is swung in at least one obstacle position discrimination area belonging to the human position discrimination area where the presence of human is determined, or the horizontal blade is retained and operated in at least one of the obstacle position discrimination areas belonging to the human position discrimination area where the presence of human is determined, or that adjacent thereto. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
