PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of an elastic seal member having a groove shape of a dimensional relation and a fastening rate that can obtain the higher resilience of an elastic O-ring compared with the case of using a groove shape designed by the Japanese Industrial Standards. SOLUTION: The elastic seal member includes a first plate 11; a dovetail groove 16 for fitting the elastic O-ring formed in the first plate 11; the elastic O-ring 10 fitted into the dovetail groove 16; and a second plate 13 pressure-bonded to the first plate 11 through the elastic O-ring 10. A groove angleθof the dovetail groove 16 is set to 10.0-20.0°, and the fastening rateξgiven byξ=(H-h)/H when setting the cross-sectional height before the compressive deformation of the elastic O-ring 10 to H and setting the cross-sectional height after the compressive deformation of the elastic O-ring 10 to h is set to 10% or larger, thus providing the structure of the elastic seal member having the groove shape of the dimensional relation and the fastening rate that can obtain the higher resilience of the elastic O-ring.
