PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a raschel knitting fabric stretchable both in warp and weft directions by inserting a highly stretchable yarn in the same wale without moving several wales in a lateral direction, absolutely different from conventional texture having stretchability in warp and weft directions. SOLUTION: The raschel knitting fabric is produced by decreasing a shot number to 25-43, inserting an insertion yarn for connecting a chain knit yarn by reverse laying in place of normal laying, and using a covering yarn such as core yarn, FTY yarn, DCY yarn and SCY yarn instead of a spandex yarn as a highly stretchable yarn.
