PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of inferior quality in an electrodeposition coating process, by uniformizing the thickness of an electrodeposition coating film regardless of a shape and a size of an article to be coated. SOLUTION: An electrodeposition tank 103 stores an electrodeposition paint 102. An automotive body 105 is transported by the drive of a conveyer device 104, is immersed in the electrodeposition paint 102, and travels horizontally in the electrodeposition paint 102. A plurality of electrode plates 203 are arranged on the internal surface of the electrodeposition tank 103. The electrode plates 203 are arranged so as to be aligned both in a traveling direction and in a vertical direction of the automotive body 105 in such a state that the electrode plates 203 are housed in a box-shaped electrode case 201 or a bar-shaped electrode case 202. A control device 151 controls a first power supply panel 111, a second power supply unit 112 and the like so that electric currents independently and separately pass to the individual electrode plates 203, respectively.
