PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the viscosity-reduction effect and to reduce the change in viscosity with time by a decreased addition amount of an inorganic filler under both a low shear viscosity condition and a high shear viscosity condition in the system compounded with the inorganic filler. SOLUTION: An additive for a polyvinyl chloride based paste resin contains a compound A represented by formula (I) (wherein R1and R2are each a 7C-19C saturated or unsaturated, straight chain or blanched aliphatic chain; R3is hydrogen, a methyl group or an ethyl group; and n is an integer of 1-50) or the compound A and a compound B represented by formula (II) (wherein R1, R3and n are the same as defined above) at a molar ratio of A/B of 70/30 to 99/1.
