<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce problems of a short light emission lifetime and low reliability of an AC LED display device. <P>SOLUTION: A high-reliability and long-lifetime AC LED display device includes an LED group 22, a rectifier diode group 21, and an AC power source 20. The LED group includes a plurality of series-connected LED microchips 2201 to 2248. The rectifier diode group includes four rectifier diodes 211 to 214. The AC power source is electrically connected to the rectifier diode group, which in turn is electrically connected to the LED group. The AC power source includes a positive half-cycle voltage and a negative half-cycle voltage. The rectifier diode group makes the LED group not withstand a high reverse bias voltage, and the LED group can conduct with both the positive and negative half-cycle voltages so as to extend the light emission lifetime and to enhance the reliability. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
