PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speaker using a piezoelectric material which can be applied to various usages and easily manufactured. SOLUTION: A speaker 10 is composed of a piezoelectric sheet 1 which is extensible or contractable in an in-plane direction orthogonal to an electric field application direction mainly when an electric field is applied, and a pair of electrode films 2 and 3 which is formed on the upper and lower surfaces of the piezoelectric sheet 1 to apply the electric field to the piezoelectric sheet 1. The piezoelectric sheet 1 on which the pair of electrode films 2 and 3 is formed is rolled in cylindrical form and one end portion of the piezoelectric sheet 1 is directly or indirectly connected to the other end portion opposite to the one end portion.
