PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for seal-opening capable of performing highly accurately and rapidly seal-opening of a packaged article and to provide an apparatus for seal-opening the same. SOLUTION: In the method for seal-opening of the packaged article, the packaged article is opened by cutting a face to be cut of a packaging paper of the packaged article in which papers laminated on every specified number of papers, for example, sheet papers are packaged with the packaging paper. In this method for seal-opening of the packaged article, the packaged article is opened by pressing a long blade 112 on the face to be cut in parallel and uniformly to make a cut line in the packaging paper while the long blade 112 is rocking in the lengthwise direction of the blade. The apparatus 10 for seal opening for executing the method for seal opening includes: a cutter unit 14 including the long blade 112 and a rocking means 20 for rocking the long blade 112 in the lengthwise direction of the blade; and a pressing moving means 18 for pressing the long blade 112 on the face to be cut of the packaging paper in parallel and uniformly under a condition that the long blade 112 is rocking by the rocking means 20.
