PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily prevent problems due to slime by reusing the condensate of steam produced as boiler supply water and by preventing corrosion in a condensate system or a boiler device even when the situation that the slime is easily produced is formed in the boiler device. SOLUTION: In the method of operating the boiler device 1, supplied water W1 and the condensate W3 of the produced steam S used on a load side are received by a water supply tank 3 so as to be used as the boiler supply water W2. When an amine-based condensate treatment agent F or an anticorrosive K other than hydrazine, or any of the amine-based condensate treatment agent F and the anticorrosive K other than hydrozine is injected into the boiler device 1, the temperature of water in the water supply tank 3 is controlled to be equal to or higher than the temperature for suppressing the propagation of microbes.
