PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for displaying a content list of a content recorded at a disk side by considering setting conditions at a television side. SOLUTION: Regarding the content in a disk retrieved by disk retrieval processing, if the setting conditions at the television side (stored in TV side setting information) are, for example, ones for displaying only a content which is not yet viewed, a content list is displayed based on the conditions. As the conditions, when they are based on a keyword set at the television side and when they are based on a viewing history of a user etc., the content in a disk is retrieved according to the conditions, and the content list of results of retrieval is displayed.
