PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decompression drum drying method and a decompression drum drying device improving drying efficiency and preventing maintenance of an excessively high decompression degree to obtain a low water content of fine powder. SOLUTION: A vacuum degree of a treatment chamber 2 is used in the low vacuum degree state (100 Torr or more). In addition to such use, heating air is sent in from an exterior to enhance heat transfer within the treatment chamber 2. Due to the sent air, treated objects are not accumulated in the bottom of the treatment chamber 2 and are collected in the particle state by an exterior collecting device 8, and the water content after drying is reduced, so as to enhance drying efficiency.
