The rod (11) has half shells (12, 13) provided with bulges at one end, where the bulges form retention eyes (32, 33) for bushes (14, 15) in a composed condition of the half shells. The half shells are made of fiber-reinforced plastic, and exhibit a molded seam (19). The fiber-reinforced plastic is displaced with continuous filaments, which extend in a longitudinal direction of the half-shells. The plastic contains a thermoplastic matrix material. The shells are form-fittingly and/or force-fittingly connected with each other. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a torque support comprising flexible bushes (2) a method for producing a torque support.
