The device (1) has a control unit (7) designed to store parameters for opening-/closing operations and/or opening-/closing speed of a foldable frame and to receive and process signals of a rotational angle sensor (17). The control unit controls a drive (9) e.g. hydraulic fluid pump, oil motor and electric motor, of a piston (11) and a double-acting cylinder (13) for opening and closing the frame. The sensor is arranged at a discharging device for liquid manure. The control unit varies speed of the opening- and closing operations by controlling the piston and cylinder. An independent claim is also included for a method for opening and closing a foldable frame of a discharging device.
