PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing 4,4'-bis(alkylamino)diphenylamine is provided to prepare 4,4'-bis(alkylamino)diphenylamine of high efficiency without a complicate refining process by selectively producing only 4,4'-dinitrodiphenylamine without by-products. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing 4,4'-bis(alkylamino)diphenylamine comprises the steps of: (i) reacting urea with nitrobenzene in the presence of a polar organic solvent and a base to prepare 4,4'-dinitrodiphenylamine; and (ii) hydrogenating 4,4'-dinitrodiphenylamine and ketones in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst to prepare 4,4'-bis(alkylamino)diphenylamine. The polar organic solvent is dimethylsulfoxide, dimethylformamide, or N-methylpyrrolidone.
