PURPOSE: A portable electronic device including a touch sensitive display and control method thereof are provided to increase the accuracy of force measurement by performing a process in case a user touches a display device. CONSTITUTION: A portable electronic device includes a touch sensitive display(118), force sensing resistors(122), and a processor(102). The processor is connected to the touch sensitive display and the power sensing resistors. The processor receives signals about touch from the power sensing resistors. The processor controls the gain of a first force sensing resistor based on the location of touch.
