PURPOSE: A vibration resistant electric incandescent lamp and method for reducing vibration are provided to precisely adjust a resonant frequency using a narrow part, thereby controlling the resonant frequency of a filament-support wire system. CONSTITUTION: An incandescent lamp comprises a stem and a wire. The wire is made of a metal or a metal alloy. A support wire comprises a first section(12) expanded from the stem to a joint point. Each end of a filament(4) is fixed to a corresponding support wire at a joint point. The support wire and the filament are arranged inside a translucent envelope. The resonant frequency of an incandescent filament-support wire system is precisely adjusted using at least one narrow part.
