PURPOSE: A lithium secondary battery is provided to prevent the protrusion of a center pin in the explosion caused by the increase of inner pressure of the battery, thereby improving the safety of a secondary battery. CONSTITUTION: A lithium secondary battery comprises an electrode assembly including a center pin thereinside, a can accommodating the electrode assembly, and a cap assembly connected to one side of the can. At least, one end of the center pin comprises a deformed end which is deformed by the impact force colliding with the inner surface of the can or cap assembly and prevents the center pin from being bounded to the outside of the can or cap assembly. |
