<p>The method involves supporting a person (12) to be treated on a couch (1) or fixing an animal on a treating platform. The person or animal is selectively treated by infrared (IR) radiation sources (7) that are arranged in a carriage (4). The carriage is movable in a direction of a longitudinal axis of the person or animal, and selected regions of a body of the person or animal are irradiated with depth exposure of IR radiation in human tissues. Local hyperthermy is generated in the selected treating regions (14). An independent claim is also included for a method for performing selective medical hyperthermy for treating body of human and animal.</p> |
