<p>The method involves feeding a reference material (18) i.e. biodegradable material, for cutting by a rotationally driven cutter blade (2), and providing comparative statement about current state of sharpness of the cutter blade at specified speed during idle operation. The biodegradable material is made of a flexible thread-like material (19) and a rigid plate-or rod-like material, where the reference material comprises gas or liquid jet. Pulsation of the gas or liquid jet is evaluated based on spectral analysis using frequency spectrum by a sensor (26). An independent claim is also included for a device for detecting cutting sharpness of a cutter blade on a forage harvester.</p> |
