PURPOSE: A repeater and method of reducing noises for mobile communication are provided to enhance the flexibility in the design of a network. CONSTITUTION: A demodulation unit(222) demodulates a signal received through a reception antenna(202), and a noise eliminating unit(224) quantizes the demodulated signal. The noise eliminating unit eliminates noises from the demodulated signal, and a modulation unit(226) modulates the noise-eliminated signal. A synchronizing signal detection unit(228) detects a synchronizing signal from the received signal.
