The camera holder (3) has a pin with a tripod socket for screwing in a tripod counter socket of a camera. An adjustment device is arranged to enable the adjustment of a mismatch between tripod counter socket and the camera objective of a held camera. A sleeve (13) with a changeable length is formed for receiving the camera objective. A support (15) is provided on one end for the camera housing (16), which lies in the level running perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the sleeve. A mechanical interface (9) is provided on the other end. An independent claim is also included for an optics adapter for inserting between an optical viewing device and a camera.
