<p>The present invention relates to the mechanical engineering, particularly to the mufflers for internal combustion engine used in vehicles and other machines requiring the same power output level. Its aim is improvement of manufacturability and noise reduction over a wide frequency range, as well as decrease of backpressure of the system. The device offered consists of a symmetrical exhaust chamber 2 connected with it inlet and exhaust branches 1, side rails of angle plates 3 and separating plates 4. According to the invention, the second side rail plates are angled and are of the same length as the first ones. The separating plates are located by one both between the pairs of angle plates and the inlet branch and a pair of side rails, as well as between exhaust branch and other pair of angle plates. Separating walls are made in the form of hollow cylinders provided with cuts that are guided at the exhaust branch. Fig.1 shows the top view of muffler's internal design with a longitudinal section along the center line of symmetry, and it contains inlet and exhaust branches 1, exhaust chamber body 2, side rectangular rail plates 3 and separating plates 4 in the form of cylinders with cuts guided at the exhaust branch.</p> |
